Boat Tour & Taormina – Messina

Stage 1 – Departure from Messina

The tour starts from Messina, the ancient "gateway to Sicily," a city of history, legends, traditions, and modernity. Traveling along the picturesque panoramic road that runs along the sickle-shaped natural harbor, we'll head to Taormina, a city famous not only for its elegant historic center but also for its extraordinary maritime area.

Stage 2 – Boat tour along the coast of Taormina

Arrived at Cape Taormina, at the beach of Mazzarò a private boat will be waiting for us to begin a two-hour boat tour inside one of Sicily's most beautiful nature reserves. We'll sail through a marine park with crystal-clear waters that is home to the famous Blue Grotto of Taormina and the splendid Isola Bella, an islet with a garden full of international plants and rare shrubs, once belonging to the English lady Lady Florence Trevelyan.

The boat tour also includes a visit to the Grotto of Sant'Andrea, at the Giardini Naxos Bay, at the Sirens' Bay, to the Cyclops Rock and the picturesque area of Capo Taormina. A swimming stop is planned here; refreshments including prosecco, water, fruit, and almond pastries will be offered on board.

Stage 3 – Taormina, historic center

Once the boat experience is over, the tour continues towards the city centre of Taormina. Crossing the historic arch of Porta Catania, we will immerse ourselves in the city's rich past. The visit includes the magnificent Greek Theatre of Taormina (ticket not included), a masterpiece of ancient engineering famous for its breathtaking views of Mount Etna and the sea.

Stage 4 – Gardens and a stroll along Corso Umberto

We will continue towards the enchanting Florence Trevelyan Public Garden, a green oasis with an exotic charm that belonged to an English noblewoman linked to the court of Queen Victoria. Afterwards, walking along Corso Umberto, main street and ancient decumanus, you will be surrounded by elegant boutiques, lively cafes, picturesque alleys and historic buildings that preserve the true essence of Taormina.

Stage 5 – Panoramic view of Isola Bella

By car we will finally reach an exclusive panoramic point, ideal for admiring and photographing from above the Isola Bella, offering a last and unforgettable glimpse of the Ionian coast.

Stage 6 – Return to Messina

After visiting Taormina, we'll return to Messina. If you wish, you can marvel at the city's historic center and, in particular, the bell tower. Messina Cathedral, which houses one of the largest and most complex mechanical and astronomical clocks in Europe. At the end of the day, I return to the starting point, hoping to have treated you to an intense and exciting day of sea, relaxation, and unforgettable views.
