This tour combines the beauty and history of two stunning hilltop villages: Savoca and Castelmola. Departing from Messina, our first destination is Savoca, a village steeped in Sicilian history and most famous for its connection to The Godfather. Here, you’ll visit the famous Bar Vitelli and enjoy a stroll through the town’s charming streets, discovering ancient churches and fascinating sites such as the Convent of the Capuchins with its mummified monks.

After exploring Savoca, we’ll continue our journey up to Castelmola, a medieval village perched high above Taormina. The drive itself offers incredible views of the Ionian coastline and Mount Etna in the distance. Once in Castelmola, you’ll walk through narrow cobblestone streets, visit historic sites like the Cathedral of San Giorgio, and take in the panoramic views from the town’s vantage points. The ruins of the Castello di Mola offer a glimpse into the town’s ancient history, and you’ll also have the opportunity to relax at Bar Turrisi, famous for its unique decor and locally produced almond wine.
